＜p＞La scelta ? un saggio dedicato alle persone di tutte le et? e di ogni classe sociale. Quello che si prende in esame non ? infatti la propria condizione fisica o mentale bens? quella spirituale. Ho iniziato a scrivere questo libro per amore di me stesso e della collettivit?, urgeva in me la necessit? di dare un mio contributo. Quelli che metto in ballo non sono argomenti facili ne tantomeno fini a se stessi, io apro solo delle porte con il fine che noi tutti un giorno possiamo agire “liberamente” e consapevolmente verso i nostri traguardi senza condizionamenti di alcun tipo. Il tono del libro ? abbastanza provocatorio proprio per cercare di mettere in evidenza il pi? possibile i nostri difetti e quelli della societ? attuale, sollecitando di porre attenzione e rispettare noi stessi in primis in ogni situazione che si presenti. Il mondo ? sempre pi? complesso ed i pericoli sono tanti, ? essenziale partire a scuotere le nostre coscienze, io provo a mettere il mio primo mattone per continuare a discutere insieme e sempre di pi? verso questi temi. Nel primo capitolo tratto del tema dei condizionamenti e le paure indotti dalla societ? odierna e su come vengono trasmessi tali messaggi, nel secondo parlo di come vengono utilizzati i principali media per diffondere l’informazione. Nel terzo capitolo faccio un breve sunto su come anche la cinematografia d? il suo contributo a diffondere paure inconsce. All the older tasks of church life have taken on a new significance, and vastly larger tasks are emerging as from the mists of a new morning.＜br /＞ Many ideas that used to seem fundamental and satisfying seem strangely narrow and trivial in this greater world of God. Some of the old religious appeals have utterly lost their power over us. But there are others, unknown to our fathers, which kindle religious passions of wonderful intensity and purity. The wrongs and sufferings of the people and the vision of a righteous and brotherly social life awaken an almost painful compassion and longing, and these feelings are more essentially Christian than most of the fears and desires of religion in the past. Social Christianity is adding to the variety of religious experience, and is creating a new type of Christian man who bears striking a family likeness to Jesus.＜br /＞ These new religious emotions ought to find conscious and social expression. But the Church, which has brought down so rich an equipment from the past for the culture of individual religion, is poverty-stricken in face of this new need. The ordinary church hymnal rarely contains more than two or three hymns in which the triumphant chords of the social hope are struck. When men are in the presence of God, the best that is in them has a breathing space. Then we feel the vanity and shamefulness of much that society calls proper and necessary.
